Helix, a British manufacturer of electric motors, has developed a new low-inductance motor for an unnamed hypercar.

It generates around 872 continuous horsepower.

This hypercar motor project is known internally as REB.

The X-Division of the corporation is responsible for developing the company's most powerful pure electric battery electric car motor to date.

When the inverter is removed, the extremely powerful SPX177 motor weighs only 62 pounds.

In comparison to McLaren Artura's massively enhanced internal combustion engines.

This electric motor weighs less than one-seventh of its weight for comparable continuous power generation.

The SPX177 from Helix indicates that automobiles are progressing.
