Information on the collision that occurred late last week in Columbia was published by the New York State Police.

It was close to the westernmost Dutchess County line.

Investigation revealed that the 2022 Tesla Model X was engaged after several days.

It abandoned the road while it was moving quickly southbound on Route 9 in the town of Livingston.

Before the fire broke out, the car first hit a tree and then the house.

The Tesla's operator was discovered dead inside.

State police claim that the operator has not yet been positively recognised.

Before first responders arrived, one resident of the house was able to flee the flames and was subsequently taken to Albany Medical Centre.
